The image Cristalla shows a smoky quartz that I freshly recovered from a cleft. The crystal is between 10 and 20 million years old and was only released by the glacier shortly before my discovery. 

For some, "Strahlen"* – the search for crystals – is perceived as an exploitative act. In reality, the crystals are preserved from destruction by natural forces through their recovery.
