In the spring and autumn of 2022, I moved through Val Segnas near Disentis/Mustér with 500 sheep and three dogs. As a photographer, I had envisioned capturing intensive pictures. Since the work of a shepherd was new to me and physically demanding, my heavy full-frame camera stayed behind in the hut more and more often. Mentally, I had already written off the project. However, when the autumnal mist began to shroud the landscape in a mystical light, I started capturing these fleeting moments with my smartphone.
